Monaco
Nightlife Guide

The clubs that matter, the dress codes you need to know, and how to actually get in. Updated for 2026.

Where Monaco Parties

Six venues worth knowing. Each one has a distinct character and a different crowd.

Jimmy'z Monte-Carlo Monaco nightlife

Jimmy'z Monte-Carlo

VIP Nightclub

Electronic · Celebrity · 40-year legend

Monaco's most iconic club. A 40-year institution that has hosted everyone from Prince Albert to the world's biggest DJs. Outdoor lagoon, state-of-the-art sound, and a door policy that keeps it genuinely exclusive. David Guetta, Martin Garrix, and Bob Sinclar all play here regularly.

Practical: Open Thursday–Sunday from midnight. Smart to formal dress required. Book a table in advance or arrive before 1am. Entry selective — dress the part.

Sass Café Monaco nightlife

Sass Café

Restaurant · Lounge · Club

Intimate · Champagne · Late night

One of Monaco's most beloved institutions — a restaurant by evening that transforms into a vibrant club after midnight. The transition is seamless: champagne flows, the music shifts up, and the room fills with the kind of crowd that comes to Monaco for the season, not the day trip.

Practical: Book dinner for 9pm and stay into the night. Smart casual for dinner, smarter for the club. On Avenue Princesse Grace — 10 minutes from the Casino.

La Rascasse Monaco nightlife

La Rascasse

Bar · Club · Trackside

F1 · Lively · Late nights

Built into the final corner of the Grand Prix circuit — the Rascasse corner. A Monaco institution that shifts from sports bar by day to raucous club by midnight. During F1 weekend the balconies literally overhang the racing circuit. At any other time it's one of the most characterful bars in Monaco.

Practical: Open daily. No strict dress code by Monaco standards — smart casual works. Gets packed after midnight on weekends. F1 weekend: arrive early for balcony space.

Amber Lounge Monaco nightlife

Amber Lounge

F1 Afterparty — Exclusive

F1 Weekend Only · €500+ · Drivers attend

The most exclusive nightlife event in the F1 calendar. Amber Lounge opens only during Monaco Grand Prix weekend and brings together F1 drivers, celebrities, fashion shows, and world-class DJ sets in an environment that is genuinely unlike anywhere else in motorsport. Entry from €500, VIP tables from €4,000.

Practical: Tickets must be applied for in advance — they do not sell at the door. Check amberlounge.com from January. Location: Avenue Princesse Grâce. Midnight until dawn.

Twiga Monte Carlo Monaco nightlife

Twiga Monte Carlo

Restaurant · Club

Panoramic · Italo-Japanese · Views

On the second floor of the Grimaldi Forum with panoramic views over Monaco and the Mediterranean. An Italo-Japanese restaurant that transforms into a full nightclub around 1am, complete with a shisha bar and some of the best views in the principality.

Practical: Book dinner in advance. The club portion is more relaxed on entry than Jimmy'z. Smart dress required. Views are best from the restaurant terrace — arrive before sunset.

Blue Gin Monaco nightlife

Blue Gin

Cocktail Lounge

Waterfront · Sunset · Cocktails

The waterfront bar at the Monte-Carlo Bay Hotel & Resort. Known locally as The Waterfront, it has a heated seaside terrace and is consistently rated one of Monaco's finest cocktail experiences. More relaxed than the nightclubs — perfect for a long evening.

Practical: No strict dress code. Best visited for sunset cocktails — book the terrace in advance during peak season. Open daily from 6pm.

What Nobody
Tells You

Dress code reality

Monaco venues are serious about dress codes. Smart-casual is the minimum for bars. Clubs require smart to formal — no trainers, shorts, or sportswear. If you're unsure, overdress. You cannot be too well-dressed in Monaco.

When to arrive

Monaco nightlife starts late. Dinner at 9–10pm, clubs from midnight. Arriving at 11pm at Jimmy'z will get you a long wait at the door. Arriving at 1am you'll walk straight in.

Book tables

Every venue with VIP tables requires advance booking. This is especially true during F1 weekend when tables at the best venues are reserved months in advance. Without a table reservation, you're relying on general admission.

F1 weekend is different

During Grand Prix weekend Monaco transforms. Every venue is packed, prices double, and the atmosphere is unlike any other time of year. If you're coming for F1, plan your nightlife around it — not the other way round.

Note: Venue details are accurate to early 2026. Hours, lineups, and entry prices change seasonally. Always confirm directly with the venue before visiting. PartyMonaco is an independent guide with no commercial relationship with any venue listed.
